Environmental Management System

Project Introduction

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) established the Technical Committee on Quality Management and Quality Assurance (TC176) in 1979, tasked with developing standards for quality management and quality assurance. Since its initial release in 1987, the ISO 9000 series of standards has undergone revisions in 1994, 2000, 2008 and 2015, evolving into the current ISO 9001:2015 standard.
ISO 9001 encapsulates the scientific summary of quality management practices accumulated in many economically developed countries worldwide, and is applicable to organizations of all types and sizes, regardless of the products they supply. The implementation of ISO 9001 facilitates the improvement and refinement of an organization’s quality management system and delivers positive effects on elevating its overall management capability.
To date, ISO 9001 represents the world’s well-established quality framework, adopted by more than 750,000 organizations across 161 countries and regions. Beyond setting benchmarks for quality management systems, ISO 9001 establishes criteria for overall management systems. It supports organizations of all kinds in achieving success through enhanced customer satisfaction, greater employee engagement and continuous improvement.
